Work on your bike in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Participants share tips and an instructor will be there to help. The instructor's ability to assist you will be limited by time and the total number of participants. Come on out, fix your bike, get some grease on your hands, and ride off with a better bike and more know-how than you had when you arrived.

Spring is here and everyone is on their bike! This has made Open Shop that much more popular, so there may be a wait to get in a stand and use the tools. Please be mindful of those who are waiting and do your repairs in a timely fashion so others can work on their bikes too.

You must take your bicycle with you at the end of the workshop whatever its condition, so please keep in mind the total time required for your project before you begin. Tools and bike stands are provided. You may purchase cables, housing and bearings at West Town Bikes, but other parts are not stocked, so you should purchase any parts you plan to use before-hand at your local bike shop (see www.chicagobikeshops.info).
