Work on your bike in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Participants share tips and an instructor will be there to help. The instructor's ability to assist you will be limited by time and the total number of participants. Come on out, fix your bike, get some grease on your hands, and ride off with a better bike and more know-how than you had when you arrived!

Summer is here and everyone is on their bike, so the shop is busy! Please be mindful of those waiting for a stand and do your repairs in a timely fashion. You must take your bicycle with you at the end of the workshop whatever its condition, so please keep in mind the total time required for your project before you begin. Tools and bike stands are provided. You may purchase cables, housing and bearings at West Town Bikes, but other parts are not stocked, so you should purchase any parts you plan to use before-hand at your local bike shop (see www.chicagobikeshops.info).

No sign up needed, just show up!

Please make an appropriate donation for the time you spend working at West Town Bikes. Bicycle mechanics are paid $10 per hour on average at most bike shops. Please keep this in mind considering the amount of time and work you do while at West Town Bikes. WTB is a community resource that is only made available through the generous support made by it's volunteers and contributors.
